My parents drove me to campus and helped me move in around 5 PM-ish. About ten minutes later, Emily (my now ex-roommate) came. Robert stopped by shortly after that and together the three of us moved all of Emily's stuff out of the room and into the car. Then we went to the quad office and Emily filled out a change-of-address paper and turned her keys in.

After that, I went over to Robert's room for about half-an-hour and watched a South Park episode with his roommate.

Now, I'm setting up my new wireless, which isn't going as easily as it should . . .

I'm very uneasy about this coming semester. Partly because I'm taking two classes to decide whether to major/double major in Philosophy, partly because of the rooming situation. Plus a bunch of other parts that would take me a very long time to list, especially since I don't understand half of them yet myself.

It's very empty right now. Emily's side of the room is sterile white except for some colourful thumbtacks, the lamp, and the refrigerator/microwave and there's no signs whatsoever of either of our suitemates. So it's just me in the suite, but it doesn't feel like my room. Except for my Hunter x Hunter posters.

Emily's still taking some classes here and her apartment isn't too far away, so I'll still see her. But as much as I love the quite and as used as I am to living alone, I miss Emily much more than I thought I would.

It would be okay if I knew it would stay like this the entire semester, just me in the room. I could bring in more anime posters from home and buy more lights to brighten the place up and try to make it comfortable again. But the thought of a new roommate being assigned randomly after having such a good one for one and a half semesters scares the hell out of me. Really not liking the idea at all. And it would be nice to live with a friend.

So if anyone wants to move out of their current room/suite or knows someone else who does, please let me know. I asked about the procedures for such things while Emily was getting her side of the room inspected and it doesn't sound too horribly difficult.
