With a Silver Bow

This was originally going to be a much bigger project, covering five fandoms with five recommended fics for each (though it actually got started because I wanted to rec some good Star Trek and Yuugiou fic to Kun). However, once I finished the third rec in the Star Trek section, I found myself becoming frustrated and thus decided to scale back a little.

This is my master list of fanfiction (and, occasionally, fanart and meta) recommendations that continues to be updated on an irregular basis.

I have included LiveJournal user names where known, though I have probably missed some since I discovered several authors, particularly in the Star Trek and The Man From U.N.C.L.E. fandoms, outside of LJ.

Recs are LJ-cut by fandom (in alphabetical order) and will be occasionally updated. As this list was compiled over roughly five years of fanfic reading, there are a few fandoms that I'm no longer interested in, but I did like them all at one point. Apologies for newer entries not containing the description section that the older ones did; it's time consuming, but at some point, I might go back and annotate them all.

[A small note on Alexander –- While there have been several movies released about Alexander, I have used the name to refer to the historical man. In addition, I have specified Mary Renault's Fire From Heaven out of the three novels in her Alexander trilogy since that is the book that covers the time from Alexander's childhood up to his father's death in 336 BC - the period during which most of the fics I have recced take place - though not all Alexander authors actually use or have read Renault.]
