Death of a Nail

After growing and sharpening for almost five months, my last Killua nail broke off.

The requisite Kuroro Requiem scene.

The night before it broke off; there were two cracks along the base, so I knew I couldn't save it.

The broken nail. I wanted to take a picture of it next to a ruler to show how long it was, but I forgot to bring my ruler back to campus. x_x
To give you a good feeling for how long it was, when I put the broken nail on top of my remaining nail, they were almost identical in size.

. . . it looks sort of like the Star Trek insignias from the original series.
I miss it. It was so sharp and pointy. And very useful for opening things.
Ah well. I guess I'll just be using fake nails for Anime Boston.
