Bashir: "Out of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
Garak: "My dear doctor, they're all true."
Bashir: "Even the lies?"
Garak: "Especially the lies."

If it wasn't for Spock, Garak would be my favourite Star Trek character of all time. Similarly, if it wasn't for TOS, DS9 would be my favourite Star Trek series. Garak is one of those rare characters who can play wonderfully opposite anyone - from Odo ("Improbable Cause"/"The Die Is Cast") to Sisko ("In The Pale Moonlight") to Dukat ("Civil Defense") to Quark ("Profit and Loss") to Worf ("In Purgatory's Shadow") - but it's Garak/Bashir that is (personally) DS9's most interesting and defining relationship. Now that I'm re-watching the series, I only adore it even more.

Bashir: "Still the man of mystery."
Garak: "Oh, you wouldn't have me any other way."
